AWCCI Nangarhar branch is ready to serve

AWCCI President Ms. Manizha Wafeq and Public Relations officer of AWCCI Ms. Kawsar Rahimi visited Nangarhar Board of Directors on August 28, 2018. The main goal of this trip was first, providing training to newly hired zone manager of Nangarhar Ms. Sadia Umarkhill and talking about her duties and responsibilities, second meeting Dr. Shams the President of Afghanistan Chamber of Commerce and Industry (ACCI) in Nangarhar, and third meeting Deputy Governor of Nangarhar H.E Ms. Habiba Kakar.
After giving an orientation about AWCCI to Ms. Umarkhill, Ms. Wafeq showed her satisfaction for her hiring and wanted her to be committed to Chamber’s values. As board members of AWCCI and ACCI in Nangarhar had met and agreed to allocate two office rooms to AWCCI in Nangarhar, Board members accompanied by Ms. Wafeq went and saw the office rooms for new zone manager. Ms. Wafeq thanked Dr. Shams for their sincere cooperation and wanted him for their further support in the future.
Meeting Ms. Kakar Deputy Governor of Nangarhar, Ms. Wafeq firstly introduced AWCCI to her and talked about its details of establishment, services and achievements since last year and its background as LEAD(Leading Enterpreneurs for Afghanistan Development). Through the meeting, AWCCI President talked about the AWCCI membership of high economic council of the government of Afghanistan in Kabul she said women in other provinces should also have a seat in provincial level for planning and decision making committees. This can give women both the right to have their recommendations for decisions related to women and also they can increase awareness about their rights and privileges among business women. Hearing about AWCCI’s, Ms. Kakar also thanked AWCCI delegation for their hard work for Afghan women awareness and development. She said she will try her best to support AWCCI and promised to do whatever she can to improve business women.
At the end of the meeting, AWCCI delegation thanked Ms. Kakar for her time and gave a sample of women’s handicraft to her as a gift for her appointment as deputy Governor of Nangarhar.
